About Tad Bit Rad Travels

Smiling person with braided hair wearing a blue and white floral jumpsuit, standing against a dark background.

I realized that solo travel isn’t about escaping — it’s about connecting.

I started traveling alone because I needed a break from my monotonous work schedule, and I couldn’t wait for anyone else to join me. After traveling to 40 countries, I’m still solo traveling because of the people I've met, the meals I’ve shared, and the culture I’ve experienced, which remind me how connected we really are.

Through Tad Bit Rad Travels, I share soulful travel stories and tips that go beyond the checklist — where solo women travelers can discover culture, confidence, and connection in every corner of the world.

About Me

While I love exploring the world, my roots are in North Carolina. I was born and raised there and went to UNC-Chapel Hill — go Heels! Currently, I work in tech at one of the biggest technology companies in the world. The flexibility and financial stability of my 9-5 allow for my travel experiences. I recognize I have some privileges, but I still travel as financially conscious and as often as possible. My biggest work-life balance mantra is to use that PTO! Having a trip booked and planned always motivates me to push through the monotony of corporate work. On every trip, I have to start my mornings at the local cafe, spend time wandering on foot, and end with a day at the Spa!
